Common questions
FAQ
Practical answers about how Harbour Admin works. If your question is not covered here, please email enquiries@harbouradmin.co.uk.
- Do I need a monthly contract?
- Not necessarily. You can start with a fixed-price project such as a data health check, or choose a monthly retainer if ongoing support suits you.
- Can you work remotely?
- Yes. Harbour Admin is based in Plymouth and works with clients throughout the UK by email, shared folders, and agreed online tools.
- How do retainers work?
- You choose a package with a defined hourly allowance. Work stays within agreed scope, with weekly email summaries and approval before anything outside scope. See Packages for details.
- Can you sign an NDA?
- Yes. Confidentiality is standard for work involving tenant, beneficiary, trainee, or client records.
- How do you communicate?
- Primarily by email, with a weekly written summary. Brief calls can be arranged for scoping or complex questions during UK business hours.
- How quickly can work begin?
- After an initial enquiry and agreed scope, most retainers and fixed-price projects can start within one to two weeks. Urgent records work may be possible sooner — please say if you have a deadline.
- Can you work with our existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
- Yes. Harbour Admin works within your existing tools — shared mailboxes, OneDrive or Google Drive, Excel or Google Sheets, and your CRM — using minimum access only.
- Who is Harbour Admin suited to?
- Small landlords, micro-charities, training providers, and small professional practices with defined administrative needs. See About for the full list.
- What is outside scope?
- Legal, tax, or payroll advice; open-ended personal assistant cover; telephone sales; out-of-hours support; and complex web or software development. Full details are on Why Harbour.
